I just KNEW someone was prlabboy going to make a crack about Michael Gambon!! You just prlabboy were fastest out of the gate, Red Rocker! Anyway, for those of you who haven't seen The King's Speech yet, I highly recommend that you do so. It's got a great, heart-warming plot, and aside from the fact that Gambon is in it, there's a great cast.Besides Colin Firth, who does a great job of convincing the audience that his character actually has a stammering problem with his speech, there's the delightful Geoffrey Rush as his eccentric speech therapist.Jennifer Ehle, who played Elizabeth Bennet to Firth's Mr. Darcy, is in this film as the wife of the speech therapist. The actor who played the toady Mr. Collins in that version of P&P is also in a scene where he plays the Simon Cowell role to tell Rush's character he is not going to be cast in the play; there's also other acting gems from actors such as Derek Jacobi, who once played the stammering emperor Claudius, and the pair who play the Prince of Wales and Wallis Simpson are spot-on as well. If you enjoy well made films with British casts, you will LOVE this one trust me!
